The original 1270 was formulated in 2010 and it has been loved for many, many years. It's always been a favourite of ours here at Lore, and this Extreme version is the absolute chef's kiss of a more intense version. So let's go back to the start.

The Frapin family is one of the oldest family owned businesses, having first planted their grapes in 1270. Passed from generation to generation, the family have excelled and built a reputation for producing the finest cognac in the world. I mean, you’d hope so after that many years, right?

One day at a cognac tasting, Beatrice Cointreau, the matriarch of the family, decided to try the drink on the back of her hand as another way of tasting it. The gorgeous wafting scent of the fruity, sweet, yet also oaky cognac inspired this iconic fragrance. 1270 is indeed an ode to the finest cognac in the world - it is boozy deliciousness.

The original 1270 is gourmand with fruity warmth in the top note, creamy jasmine in the heart then a rich base of vanilla, tonka bean and woods. When it comes to 1270 Extreme, we are talking all of those notes but amplified and with more depth and intensity. The entire fragrance just seems to shine brighter and sparkle a little bit louder. This is perfect for lovers of 1270 who want something stronger and more long lasting or for someone who loves the scent and wants more dazzling delicious depth to it.
